I have connections that may help you locate family. My neighbor is descended from the LaFramboise family of Cathlamet, Wahkiakum Co., WA. I have pics, a family history, and more, since she asked me to research them just last night.

The only families I remember in the chinock tribe where tarabocia's. there is families living in the skamokawa area today. The Quinalt tribe there was a man named peterson, but he was the last of his line and died in the 1980s i believe. I think he is buried in the Fernhill Cemetery. His first name was vincil. hope this helps.

Do you have Quinault in your ancestry or Chinook that had land claims on the Quinault Res.? Because the Chinook are not recognized by the government many are wrongly listed on paperwork as Quinault, the same was true with Cowlitz but seems to be changing now that they are recognized. The paperwork on my father used to read: Deceased Quinault, now has been changed to Deceased Cowlitz and in fact he was equal Cowlitz and Chinook, a decendant of Edwin (NED) and Sarah Scarborough of Cathlamet. I have much of the rolls of certain Indian tribes copied and will look there for info for you. Barbara Patton

He was quinalt,
Wasn't the Boldt family quinalt, or where they chinook.

There were some Boldt names on a family ged.com that was sent to me by an Elliott family member, they were Chinook decendants as were the Scarborough's of Cathlamet.

Wow, i saw your posting and recognized the name. I a descendant of Johnnie Johns & Edwards Eels Johns which are Lower Chehalis and Chinook but were registared and had land rights throught the Quinault and I know were related to Ed Scarborough dob 12-11-1890 somehow. He's on my grandmother's old allotment paperwork. I'd love to find out what you know in regards to my family some time. Would love to hear from you.
