Does the Colville newspaper go back as far as 1936?
If so, these are the obits that I am looking for:

George W. Lockie
5-5-1857 to 1-16-1936

May S Lockie
9-6-1866 to 12-23-1944
And let me add what a sweetheart you are for doing this. You have no idea how much your work is appreciated, especially for those of us who live far away.

The newspaper archive goes back to 1909, with name changes through the years.

Your George Lockie and May Lockie are both buried in Highland/Calvary cemetery in Stevens County.

I will look for their obituaries, or mention of their deaths. Should be interesting!

If you could look up a Elmer Ellsworth Latson who was born on Aug. 11, 1870 in Michigan and died on Aug. 21, 1948 in Spokane Hospital, Spokane, WA and was buried in the Highland Cemetery, Stevens Co., Colleville, WA on Aug. 27, 1949. I do know that they went to the Colville Valley in 1907 after teaching school in the Philippine Islands for 6 years; then in Kettle Falls, Wash school system and in schools near Colville. He retired in 1931 after teaching for 30 years.

This would be gratefully appreciated.
