I am looking for any info on Capt Gillette. I have found him in the 1870 census only. No military records, no immigration records, no church records; nothing at the US Archives in Seattle, nothing at UW, nothing from Steves Co Historical Society.
I am interested in finding out where he was from in Prussia and what did he do to get a mountain and a lake named after him?! Any info appeciated. Thanks.
