You mention that Stevens County apparently does not have a genie society.....actually we do. It is called the Northeast Washington Genealogical Society (NeWGS) and they specialize mostly in Stevens County research but also have some information on Ferry and Pend Oreille counties as they were part of Stevens until 1899 and 1911 respectively.
