Alexander (born c. 1824) Jondro and wife Esther (born c. 1837) are listed in the 1880 Columbia River, Stevens Co., Wa. census. I'd like to learn more about them - I'm looking for an uncle that supposedly moved to Washington.

I'm researching Alexander and Esther Gendron for a friend who descends through their daughter Adeline. She married Matthew Scherette about 1877. From your message, it appears that her brother married the child of another Scherette.

There are still Schrette/Cherette families in Inchelium, Ferry Co., Wash. I don't know whether they are interested in family history, though.
And I think there may be Jondro's in Okanogan County. Have you posted to the Okanogan County site?
