I wrote you at an address from 2001, but it was returned.

If anyone can help, a message to me at heirhead at 3riversdbs dot net would be great.

With thanks,
Marie

Bonnie Queen Waldron

I am looking for info on Bonnie Queen O'Connor Waldron. Bonnie Queen was originally from Anacortes, born about 1907. Her father was Coleman Queen. At some point in the early 1930s she was in Hawaii, married to O'Connor. In 1948 in Hawaii she married Waldron. When she died (as Bonnie Waldron, in Hawaii) her remains went home to Anacortes. I assume she was buried as Bonnie Queen Waldron.

I am looking for her date of death (probaby in the 1950s), an obituary, date of burial, where buried. Perhaps there is a Queen plot.

Can someone help?

According to my information a certain Ole Hansen, born 1836 in Norway, was living at Samish near La Conner, Skagit County, in 1879. He was married to an Indian woman and had 8 children with her at the time. He was also one of the first settlers in Washington state, having come there probably around 1860.

Is there anyone who has access to the 1880 census and is willing to check it for me?

Ole may be listed with the surname Sagen, but I doubt it.

Family in Norway is very interested in finding out about this man and his descendants.

Sincerely
Jostein Molde
Trondheim, Norway

Ida was his sister and Edwin was his nephew. I believe that they may have lived with him, but we have no information on when they died or where they may be buried. They all emigrated from Sweden between 1890 and 1907. Andrew was my great uncle and Ida was his sister or my great aunt.

Blank/Blankenbeckler - who did Olea and Irene marry

Marion J. BLANKENBECKLER came to Skagit Co. before 1900 and is on the 1900, 1910 and 1920 census there. He married Rebecca C. THOMPSON in Blount Co., TN and she died in 1916. He had three children: Zeno b. Sep. 1888 who shortened his name to BLANK, and married Raitta about 1919; Olea b. Jan 1890 and Irene b. Dec 1892. I have been unable to find out who Olea and Irene married. Zeno died in 1942 in McRae. I would like to make contact with anyone who can help me on those three children and their families or tell me what happened to them, where they are buried, etc. Marion J. was my great great grandfather's first cousin and I know the family background, but not the Washington state descendants. Thanks.

Richard Elliott "Dick" Young - German teacher at Queen Anne High in Seattle

Hello everyone...

I've learned that my favorite teacher, Richard Elliott Young (known to his students as "Herr Young" and his friends as Dick) passed away on October 4, 2001 in Sedro-Woolley, Washington. He was born on July 31, 1938.

Despite my best efforts here and elsewhere, I cannot locate an obituary for him. I'm very interested in reading any obituary as well as learning where he is buried.

He taught German at Queen Anne High School in Seattle Washington during the 1970s.

I expect that an obituary was published in the Skagit Valley Herald (the local newspaper for Sedro-Woolley, Washington) but perhaps one appeared in the Seattle newspapers.

He was 63 at the time of his death and I believe he was married, although I do not know his wife's name. I don't know if they had any children.

Any information you can provide about Dick will be greatly appreciated! Please email me directly at arlomom AT yahoo DOT com as I very seldom visit this site.

Thank you for your help!

Best...

Tess Wentz

Thanks.

Herbert was 52 in the 1930 census
and he passed in 1936 in Everett. Julia passed in Jan 1967. Any information
will be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

one of my relatives (John B. Zacherle) filed his declaration of intention in Skagit (Skagit County Naturalization Record, ID 20823, Volume 1, Page 46) in 1892. To be able to link him to his parents/grandparents I need more information (i.e. place of birth) and am therefore looking for his petition for naturalization record. I hope to find it in Skagit, too!

Where can I get any naturalization record? Is there a single court (ore more) who did that work between 1892 and 1900?

Any help is highly welcome!

Best,

Michael Zacherle
www.zacherle.com

Lookup - Sewell in Anacortes City Directory 1940

In 1940 my grandparents were still living in the home they built around 1905 in Anacortes. I know its approximte location but no longer sure. I know they ran a dress making/repair shop out of there and Grandma had the first gas handcrank gas pump/station in town in front of her house that my grandfather ran. Can anyone give me the address from an old directory?
It would be listed under William and Beta Sewell. I know you came up the main street from downtown and it was up on the hill a couple of blocks on the left. I am planning on coming up this weekend to get pictures in the graveyard and would sure like to get a picture of the house. They hand carried all the wood from the mill at the far end of town to the house after work at night, at least that is the family story and I am sticking to it... thank you Bob Sewell

Their dau, Phoebe married Newton Handy, had children William, Silas, Lawrence, Vivian, Clarence, Elmer and Goldie. Would like to correspond with anyone descended from this family.

I am trying to do some research on my husbands family and came across the info that a Phoebe Maria Dart died in Clear Lake on 12 Aug 1894. A Josephine Amanda Dart died in the same town on 19 Sep 1894. I have found one website that lists a cemetery outside of Clear Lake but that's it. Does anyone live near that area that knows of a cemetery in or close to Clear Lake? We live in Renton and if there is one then I'd like to drive up there and possiably see if they are buried there but like I said, only one website has listed a cemetery there so I'm guessing it must be small and or on private land. Thanks in advance!

Centenial Robbery and shoot out in Sedro Woolley

I am leaving messages to try to find news articles about the Sedro Woolley Centenial robbery and shoot-out. Our family history says our uncle was involved and was the one who escaped. Three were killed and one escaped, probably wounded. If anyone out there knows when the Sedro Woolley Centenial was and how to find the news articles, which I suppose were a sensation for a smaller community, I would love to know who to contact. I am house bound with a handicapped daughter and cannot drive around to find these articles or I would try the Sedro Woolley Library or Newspaper if there is one. Thanks. Robin
