According to my information a certain Ole Hansen, born 1836 in Norway, was living at Samish near La Conner, Skagit County, in 1879. He was married to an Indian woman and had 8 children with her at the time. He was also one of the first settlers in Washington state, having come there probably around 1860.

Is there anyone who has access to the 1880 census and is willing to check it for me?

Ole may be listed with the surname Sagen, but I doubt it.

Family in Norway is very interested in finding out about this man and his descendants.
