Hi Irene,
Who are you? This is my family also. Adelaide was my Great-grandmother. William Beecher Smith was my mother's father. Perhaps we can compare notes.

Unfortunately, I don't. Mary Josephine & James Floide (w/wife Molly) are the only children of Adelaide DeLaunnis & Smith Burr's that I don't have information for any children.

I found a web site that said that a Juanita Crosby Married Lester Burr. Lester Burr Born in 1919. He is my father. Do you have more information on this? It would be interesting to find out if I have some 1/2 siblings out there.

Thank you.

Brenda, Sorry for taking so long to respond, the alert went to my old email address.

I have Juanita Crosby as Lester Woodworth Burr's wife, but you talk about 1/2 siblings. He must have been married more than once? In the thread of posts above, towel1 is a descendant of the Crosby line.

I am related through the Woodworth line but have several Archambault cousins. Perry Dewey Woodworth IV was born in Sullivan, NY;25 Aug 1832. He's listed with his sister, living with an innkeeper in the 1850 Sullivan census. He's not in any NY census afterward. He turns up in Washington state and marries Catherine McPhail in 1868. Catherine is the daughter of a Scotsman, John McPhail, who came to the Northwest when he signed on as a shepherd with the Hudson's Bay Company. He worked at Fort Nisqually and married an Indian woman there. She was Mowichi Kanim, daughter of Chief Patkanim.

John & Catherine had 6 children: A.C. b. 1868 don't know if this is a boy or girl or any other information; John Chester b. 1870; Perry Dewey V b. 1872; Mary Alice b. 1875; Maggie A b. 1877; William b. about 1880.

My line is John Chester. Mary Alice married Joseph Mantville Burr & Maggie married his brother John P. Burr.
Family history says the Burr's were sons of Smith Burr of Comack, NY. That probably can't be proved. There was a Smith Burr born about that time and a descendant of Aaron Burr - but Smith left home and disappeared, no one has been able to trace him.

I have limited information on Maggie's descendants. She with her husband and 6 children is listed in the 1920 San Juan Islands census. The children are: Archie M b. 1897; Joseph W. b 1902; Sarah A b. 1903; Olive M b. 1911; Earl H b. 1915; and Lester b 1919.

My mother is still alive and remembers visiting her Aunts in Friday Harbor when she was a young girl.
