William Peter SMITH is known to have been on San Juan Island during the Pig War. He died at Friday Harbor in 1935. He was married to Adelaide DELAUNIOUS. Adelaide had previously been married to SMITH BURR. Adelaide also had a sister, Mary, married to Jacques ARCHAMBAULT and a half-sister, Catherine, who was married first to Pierre LaPLANTE and second to Lezim VERRIER.

Information on any of these families would be appreciated.

Friday Harbor Journal

John Archambault, well known resident of San Juan Island, passed away Saturday at the home of his sister, Mrs. James McKay. The deceased was born on San Juan Island, May 13, 1863, and at the time of death was 70 years of age.

He leaves 4 sisters, Mrs. P. D. Woodworth of Potlach, Mrs. James McKay, Mrs. Blance Liebert, and Mrs. W. W. Crosby of Friday Harbor; also 2 brothers, Peter Archambault of Friday Harbor; and L. P. Archambault of Shelton. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon, internment in the Valley cemetery.

Catherine and Lezim Verreir are my great-great- grandparents. I have very little info on them but can give what I know to the present. Would love to hear from you. Patt

Hi,Do you have a family tree listed? I would really love to see the LaPlante, verrier connection. I have a lot, but some of what you have I dont. Would be great to get that information if you are still on here.
