In 1942 /1943, while I was a small fry of a boy, my older brother, Lawrence Richard Steele (Larry) was going with a girl by name of IDA. He thought the world of her. He even had her name tatooed onto a butterfly on his upper right arm. Ida was injured so I had always heard when Larry flipped the car he was driving and Mountain Highway about one mile south of the Roy Y. They were on the way home from a dance. Ida so I heard lost a leg and Larry lost a portion of his cranium. He passsed away in 1981. I often wondered what became of IDA??
