Ron, thank you. You are so right. I failed to give pertinent information. My grandmother was Georgia Beatrice ones (no A. initial) b, 17 Jul 1878 in Alabama (although she claimed Georgia) to Noah Franklin Jones and Sarah Jane Heath. She was in San Francisco at a boarding house in 1910 under the name Georgia Weeks - but her widowed mother, Sarah Jane Jones was there also. I know nothing more about her prior to this time. I know she met my grandfather in San Francisco and that they married in Dorris, Siskiyou Co., CA on 9 Oct 1911. She was using the name Georgia Weeks at that time. The marriage license application (I obtained a copy at the Siskiyou Co Courthouse) does not have any information about her prior marriage.

I was recently given a photo album that was apparently hers. It was in my uncle's possession (he just died last December). It has several pictures that look to be of her and probably members of her family (my mother never met ANY members of her mother's family). One of the pictures - one that I think is my grandmother when she was young - looked like it had writing on the back of it so I used dental floss and removed it from the page it was glued to. Sure enough, the address in Tacoma Washington and Mrs. G Weeks was written on the back of the picture. I posted a message hoping someone could tell me of the address. Current maps don't give any indication of that street address.

I have been trying to find information about the Weeks marriage for about 8 years now. This is the first time I had ever seen Washington as a possible place where they lived. Before, I had heard Macon, GA, and Los Angeles, CA as possibilities. I found her in the 1910 census in San Francisco - but my mother did not even know that her mother had lived there until I showed her the census.

As I said before, I am looking for any help I can find. I will try to find those directories - but I have no Weeks first names to go by.
