--Were Maybelle and Clarice adopted after the death of their father, or are these the wrong ones?
I also find a User submitted tree on Ancestry.com that shows:
Maybelle
Dettman, born 12 Dec 1912 to
Rudolph Rhinehart Dettman. He died 1918 and Clarice
Castle, born 16 Mar 1885, died 19 May 1946. They married on 11 May 1903 and had six children: Ralph, Clarice Ann, Eva, Marguerite, Lenore, Maybelle.
--Maybelle married Beryl
Mace Lynch, born 19 Mar 1911 in
Ewan, WA. The data indicates they had eight children.
---This data comes from Ancestry.com's "One World Tree". It did not show the name of the tree contributor. One World Tree is also
RIFE with errors. It is a database system that joins data from submitted family trees, so, if one tree is wrong, it makes the entire database wrong. So, I can NOT guarantee any of the above is accurate.

The Tacoma Library has an online obituary listing of those published in the Tacoma

News Tribune.
You can order an obit free via:
http://www.secstate.wa.gov/library/ask.aspx--It also shows a Ralph
Dettman JR on 23 August 1966, page 38.
---If the library service doesn't find the obituary, let me know and I'll visit the library in Tacoma and get the obit from microfilm. When you email the WA Library, make sure you identify WHERE and WHEN the obit was published.
---also note, the family tree data shows the father as
Rudolph Rheinhart
Dettman, died 1918, the Tacoma death in 1918 was Ralph R. Dettman. "Possibly" the same, but perhaps not.

I know this info does not identify the Kalispel Indian Reservation. BUT, they are NOT in
Montana. The town of Kalispel is in
Montana, but the Pend Oreille tribe was a tribe of Native Americans that lived in the Pend Oreill area of
Washington. Your grandmother could have very well been born in that area, but, based on the information above, she "probably" wasn't Native American. The reservation was small. If you are not familar with Pend Oreille County...it is beautiful. My own home county of Stevens and my grandparents homestead bordered this area. Lots of lakes, forested land, mountains, etc.
Try this search engine:
http://www.alltheweb.com/advanced?cs=utf-8 ---I also suggest searching under the
Bureau of Indian Affairs, the current website:
http://www.doi.gov/bureau-indian-affairs.html is still mostly out of service due to the Federal lawsuit in the Cobell Case. This case has reached dissolution (as least I thought so). It kept a lot of access to Department of Interior History files off line...to include the Homestead Act/Farm purchase site. I did check this database to see if there was a
Dettman land purchase, but did not find one.
