Dona,

Can't help right now with Frankfort, but do have some Scott data for your records. Hope this can help you a little in your search:

Carl Eldredge Scott applied for a marriage application 19 Oct 1931, in South Bend WA. He declared he was from San Francisco CA. His beloved was Thelma Corinne Price of Portland OR. The witness was AG Basil.

Henry Scott applied for marriage to Ellen J. Brown, both from Willapa, on 24 Dec 1900. ZB Brown was the affiant. Henry was listed as 73y, Ellen was 44y.

Jack Scott, of Raymond WA, promised to love and wed Ruth Christofferson, of South Bend WA, on 8 Dec 1931. Henry Christofferson was the witness.

Bryneta Marcellla Scott, of Willapa, chose to wed Fenton Smith, of South Bend, on 31 Mar 1894. Their witness was AP Leonard.

Effie A. Scott (40y), of Raymond WA, chose to wed Alex McKenzie (38y), of Raymond WA, on 18 Aug 1909, in front of WA Thomas.

Frances Agnes Scott, of Ocean Park WA, was asked to be the bride of Edward S. Johnson, also of Ocean Park WA, on the 10th of Feb in 1908. Their affiant was AB McDonald. His age is listed as being 36y, hers was 20y.

Mrs. Alda Scott, 31y, of Rush CO, applied for a marriage to Frank Griffin, 41y, of Bay Center WA. The application from 22 Sep 1911 was witnessed by JH Drissler.

Olive Scott, of Chehalis WA, chose to wed Phillip Almonte of Raymond. The witness was Helen Hansen. Application made 11 Sep 1933.

Ruby Scott, of Frances WA, was witnessed by George W. Campbell on 15 Apr 1931, as she applied for mrriage to Ernest Dana Souther, of Frances WA.

As you can see, none of these folks were from Frankfort, per se. These townships weren't far from eachother (as we know it today), which could mean that some of the above could be from the same family. I hope this can lead you to more "finds" in your family tree.

I live about 50 miles from Frankfort in Longview,Wa and have been doing reseach about that area. From my knowledge there isnt alot of info on that city. There's a book at the longview public library that basically has the whole history of this short lived town. Its a telephone directory supplement by Carlton E. Appelo. The book was done in 1965. It might be possible to have our library send it to yours. But the town is gone and most of the records with it. The final day of Frankfort was January 5, 1953(from what the book says). We have yet been able to find Frankfort, since there are no open roads, and most are on private land. But it is said that there still are abandoned houses and old sidewalks to see. Never heard of a cemetary there since most people moved away to other cities. I hope this is of help and interest to you. It will be a project for the next year or so, for me to learn all about this place that I can. Let me know if you want anymore help. I'd be glad to give you some excerpts from the book.

I have been to Frankfort many times. It is not easy to find the place anymore as last time I was there the (logging) road had been blocked. You have to walk in a short distance. The last time I visited Frankfort there was two houses in very poor condition left along with a small footbridge that crosses a small creek. No sidewalks and not much else left. However there was a homeless man who was living up there.

It has been so long since I've been to Frankfort that it would be impossible to give you directions. The road you turn onto is shortly before the Astoria/Megler bridge. There is only a couple of branches off this logging road. You'll have to explore. You can probably find it after you go a short distance. You know your close when you come to a mound of dirt (put there by a back hoe about 23 yrs ago) blocking the road. From there you walk a short distance. You'll spy a house first. Actually if my memory serves correctly there were only two houses standing in complete disrepair. Also if you do go up there it's a good idea to be careful. There has been in the past a few vagrants living up there. As far as a graveyard I never seen one but that doesn't mean there isn't one. Also if you do decide to try to find the place then it might be a good idea to bring a metal detector.
If you want better or specific direction then you can probably find them in the visitor info center in Chinook, Naselle or Astoria.
