Robert Allen married Margarate Keelty in 1901. She was the daughter of Daniel Keelty who owned the Shelton Hotel in the 1890's and hosted the first Catholic services until the Catholic church was built. I cannot find out much about Robert Allen, though he lived there for nearly 50 years. His daughter, my grandmother, is 95 years old and still lives in Shelton. her name is Dorothy Cardinal.
