Illness Fatal for Chehalin
James William Hawkins, 59, a native Lewis County resident, passed away Teusday in a Twin City hospital. He was a Chehalis resident.

He was born Oct. 24, 1896, in Napavine. He was an agent for the Farmers' Mutual of Enumclaw, a veteran of World War I, and a member of the Marine Corps League, Knights of Pythias, Exchange Club and the Christian Science Church.

In addition to his wife, Opal, he is survived by three sons, Ronald Hawkins and Theodore Dethlefs, Tacoma, and Robert Dethlefs, McCleary; a daughter, Mrs. George Jensen, Riverdale, Calif.; five sisters, Mrs. Katherine Nail, Mt. View, Calif.; Mrs. Laura Hill, in California; Mrs. Clara Doyle and Mrs. Ruth Rungren, Seattle, and Mrs Mabel Kaeser, Tacoma; four brothers Jess, Onalaska; George, Huston, TX; Charles, Seattle; and Cecil, Winnemucca, Nevada, and 5 grandchildren.

The funeral services are pending at the Fissel Mortuary of Chehalis.
