Mrs. Wm. G. Hawkins
Mrs. William G. (Lucinda M.) Hawkins, 66 died suddenly Friday at her home on route 3, Chehalis, a few hours after attending the funeral of her husband, who had passed away earlier this week. Death was attributed to a heart attack. Born in Knoxville, Tenn., February 19, 1877, she lived in this community nearly half a century.
Mrs. Hawkins was a member of the Baptist church and Rebekah lodge. surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Katherine Nail and Mrs. Laura Hill, both of San Francisco; Mrs. Clara Doyle and Mrs. Ruth Runngren, both of Seattle, and Mrs. Mable Kaeser, Tacoma; five sons, James W. Hawkins, Chehalis; Jesse D. Alpha; Charles, Seattle; Cecil, Winnemucca, Nev., and Lieut. Comm. George S. Hawkins, U. S. Navy; two brothers, Robert Phillips, Salcum, and Andrew, Aberdeen; four sisters, Mrs. Sarah Cooper, Tacoma; Mars. Cordelia Moore, Grand Mound; Mrs. Etta Esler, Detroit, Mich., and Mrs. Cora Clark, Salkum; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funderal services will be held Teusday at 2 p. m. at the John W. Boone chapel in Chehalis. The Rev. C. M. Strong will officiate, and burial will be at Napavine.
