Henrich Rite Due
NAPAVINE - Mrs. William (Alma Deskins) Henrich, 73, died Friday in a Chehalis hospital following a lingering illness.
She was born March 8, 1894, in Agate, Wash. and was a longtime resident of Napavine and a lifetime resident of Southwest Washington. Her first husband, Tony, died in 1927. Her parents, Peter and Sarah Jensen, homesteaded on the north fork of the Newaukum about 1884.
She was a member of the Neighbors of Woodcraft and Chehalis Eagles Auxilliary. She taught school for 37 years in many areas of Lewis and Thurston Counties, including Napavine, Lucas Creek, Agate, Glen Alder, Jackson Prarie, Dillabaugh, Newaukum Hill, Tenino and East Olympia.
Survivors include her husband, Napavine; a son, L. Leonard Deskins, Olympia; five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services are Teusday, 1 p.m., at Sticklin Funeral Home in Chehalis. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
