Thank you for posting this biography from An Illustrated History of Kickitat, Yakima, & Kittitas Counties, published in 1904. I just wanted to add a few things. Ernest was also known as Ernst. His father's name was Johnann Heinrich Sandmeyer,but he used John Henry. Ernest's half brother, "Henry", is actually John Henry Sandmeyer, my grandfather (father of Earl Sandmeyer.Olga married Frank Haessler and lived in WI. My copy of the family tree shows Ernest's mother's name as Maria Tschudin, not Tschudy.The saga continues...My daughters: Maya Cristina Sandmeyer Caballero and Alissa Maria Caballero. Grandchildren: Lucy & Oliver Holohan & T. Rodriguez.Maybe one day they will read this.
