I worked @ oakhurst In the 70's. It org was a tb ward. I worked graveyard as I was in highschool. I worked the nut wing @ the back of the hill. Lobotomized patients were the norm. How ever this area was also the childrens ward back untie 20's. We often heard children cry. Was heartbreaking when a resident asked you help stop the baby from crying. A new hospital is to be built on the property. It is not far from the fair grounds. I can still draw a floor plan of the old place. We had a lot of mean residents from "release of insane inmates". I was 17 and attacked by one of these people. II really hate republicans that allowed sexual predators to be placed with us.
