I am attempting to locate an annulment or divorce that took place in 1944 for my husband's father(who is deceased) and I'm hoping I can find someone who can check with the clerk of court in Ephrata, WA for me, and hopefully get a copy.

Name is Charles E. Hughes born 1922 in Rock W. VA. He married June E. Long on 13 Mar 1943 in Couer d'Alene, Idaho. I have a copy of the marriage license. Charles was stationed at the Ephrata Air Base at that time. June was said to be from Ephrata but I don't really know that for sure. I don't have her date of birth either.

I have a date of 23 May 1944 as the date of the annulment/divorce. At first we thought it was in Idaho, but there are no records of an annulment or divorce there, so perhaps she filed in Grant County? I'm pretty sure SHE was the one who filed, not him.
I am willing to pay for copying - does not have to be certified - and your time.
