Karl first married Wilhelima Notzke in La Crosse, Wisconsin on 17 July 1876. They had two daughters in Minnesota, Martha and Ernestine. They moved to Turner County South Dakota. Five children born there; Wilhelmina, Charles, William, Anna, and Augusta. Karl's first wife died; he then married Anna. The had four children born in South Dakota; John, Mary, Katie, and Lydia. Last child, Elmina, was born in Oregon. Karl is buried in Ruff, Grant County Washington. I would like to share information about this family.

I think your facts are wrong for this family. Anna is my great grandmother and she had a different father, not Karl. Her father died while Wilhelmina was still pregnant with her. How are you related? What do you know about Karl and Wilhelmina?

I have based my information on county and church records in Wisconsin and Minnesota Also census and death records in South Dakota and Washington State. Karl died in Washington in 1924. Wilhelmina died in South Dakota giving birth. Anna the second wife died in Washington. I have been in contact with descendants that are living in Washington.

I have some info from Census and Obits on these people. The 1910 Census also has a George Goede in the same area is he related. There are also two Charles Goede one born abt 1874 in Minnesota and another in abt 1881 in Dakota Territory. Are they relate. I am guessing the one born in 1881 is the son of Karl.
