I am seeking information about the descendants of Cyrus Warren who migrated to Southeast Washington in the 1870’s.

Cyrus married Emeline/Amelia/Emily Hartung, a native of Germany in 1845.

He had a daughter, Julia Abigail, born c.1846 in Ohio. All his other children were born in Lawrence County, Missouri.

In the 1870’s his sons Jason and John Cyrus migrated to Asotin County, Washington. Daughters Ida Jane, Amanda Lois, and Elvira apparently came with them. The mother, Amelia, followed but Cyrus stayed in Missouri and is buried there.

Jason stayed in Asotin County for some time and then moved to Gridley, California.

John Cyrus is buried in Dixie, Walla Walla County, Washington.

Amelia is buried in Peola, Garfield County, Washington

Ida Jane is buried in Idaho.

Amanda is buried in Clarkston, Asotin County, Washington.

Elvira is buried in Spokane, Washington

Emma is buried in Kalispell, Montana.

Any information regarding this Warren line would be greatly appreciated.
I have just traced my grandfathers 2nd wife back to a scoggin family in Garfield. Her name was Stella Irene and she was the daughter of Jasper M. and Nellie Scoggin. Stella married a man with the last name of "Davidson" around 1920 and had two sons (Lawrence and Kenneth). Later she married my grandfather William Grover Cleveland Mullins. She is shown with him in the 1930 Asotin County WA census with her sons. I don't know what happened to her but my grandfather adopted her boys and married my grandmother (the boys always had the name of Davidson so it may not have been an adoption)
Anyway I have a ton of pictures of Stella Irene Scoggins and her sons and I would like to share information with anyone knowing anything about the Scoggin family or Davidson family.

Linda Henson
http://www.lindakellie.com/yearbooks/

Ellen Elizabeth Wilson Babcock

I am looking for information on Ellen Elizabeth Wilson. She was married to Alfred Babcock. Family history says she died in the mid 1880's but I have recently come across divorce records which seem to fit Alfred and Ellen. I haven't been able to find where Ellen is buried, maybe the Walla Walla area, so it makes me even more suspicious. I would appreciate any information on either of these two people. Thank you.

Selma was widowed and this was her second marriage.

I have no information on August other than his marriage date of April 22, 1921 and his death date of January 5, 1925. He, according to the family bible is buried in Pomeroy.

I am looking for additional information on my GreatGreatGrandparents Fritz and Amelia Reimers. They appear in the 1900 Pleasant Precinct, Garfield County, Washington State Federal Census. They had 4 children then (Adolph, Annie, Annette, and Bertha) and later in the 1920 they had 4 additional children (Amelia, Otto [my grandfather], Emil, and Fred). Fritz immigrated from Holstien Germany in 1869 and married Amelia c.1886-1887. Fritz was born April 1850 and Amelia was born in Iowa May 1866. All thier children were born in Washington State (most likely garfield county). Any help in tracking down information on Fritz and/or Amelia is highly appreciated. Feel free to email me at catatized@hotmail.com.

His children were Alta May Wright 1895 Ezra W Wright 1894 Finnis F Wright 1898 Nettie F Wright 1901 Grace Lea Wright 1904 Ella L Wright 1907 Emma Wright 1907 (twin) Thelma A "Pat" Wright 1911 Lois P Wright 1914 and Cora Elizabeth Wright 1915.

Mary Otis (Fowler) Harbin (1849-1926) came to Garfield county between 1902 and 1915 with her three sons Thomas Douglas Fawcett 1868-1933 William Henry "Harry" Fawcett 1866-1946 and Joseph Kennedy Fawcett 1869-? (the youngest, Joseph is believed to have died in Pomeroy about 1900?). Mary Otis also had a son from her second marriage Frederick W Suhrbier who may have been under the name Fred Webb 1876-1942 who may have come with them. She ALSO had two children from her THIRD marriage Emma G Webb (1882-1941) and Robert W Webb (1886-1931) who may have come with them as well. Mary Otis was married a FOURTH time to a Mr Harbin while still in California and was under this name when the family moved to Pomeroy.

Thomas Douglas Fawcett married Alta May Wright 25 Nov 1915 in Pomeroy, Garfield Co, Washington. While this couple were living in Pomeroy they had three children Joseph Orlin Fawcett (1916-1985); Mary Opal Fawcett (1918-1984); Thomas Edgar Fawcett (1921-1999) and then they moved to Kelso for a short while where they had their last child Elizabeth Marie Fawcett (1926-2000).

I would very much like to correspond with anyone who has any of these names in their tree, but also I would like to hear from anyone who can find these names in miscellaneous data like school lists, tax rolls, newspaper clippings and so forth in order to fill-in the lives of these people while they lived there in Pomeroy. Thank you very much.
-Will Johnson

I'm searching for information on the Shields Family. George Shields, born late 1800's. Wife Sherry (maiden name Gilbert)Shields, born 01/02/1898. During their marriage I think they lived in Arizona. They had at least one son, Michael Donald Shields, born apx. 1931. George Shields died at an early age (year unknown). Sherry remarried changing her last name to Caston. Sherry died 08/05/74. Michael Donald Shields would be around 70 years of age. It's possible that he might be living in Garfield County.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Judy

The Chard family is well known in Garfield Co. and my grandfather, Ronald Chard Sr., still resides there. I am trying to find the name of his brother Donley's wife. He is no longer able to tell me. Donley was married sometime prior to 1941 when he enlisted in the civilian engineer corps and went to Wake Island where he was subsiquently killed. His wife was Morman by report, and I believe that she was living in Utah when he was killed in WWII. I have the letter sent to her by the company that Donley worked for, but she is referred to only as Mrs. Donley Chard. Any info you might be able to find would be helpful. Thanks...Teresa Chard Courtney

At present its not very active, only because we lack people on the list to chat about genealogy and answer questions. I do hope as it builds that you may find it a quick source for your research. To join, simply go to the main page for the county, there you will find a link just follow the instructions and your on the email list. If anyone wishes to volunteer to help me run this county and the two other ones i coordinate just email me.

Steve, Coordinator
WAGenWeb
WAColumbia, WAGarfie, WAAsotin Counties

For reference, the township of Garfield is not in Garfield county its in Whitman Co. The main township of Garfield Co. is Pomeroy which is also the county seat. Please check for the correct county before posting your query, you will get better results when you do.
