I am looking for a picture of the Eilenberger Bakery in Republic which was owned by Robert and Marie Eilenberger from 1900 to, at least, 1920, according to the census. I was excited to finally trace Robert to Republic as we had always heard that a brother emigrated to the US with my great grandfather in 1881 and then went to Washington but, until the last month, it was simply a rumor. Thanks to ancestry.com I have finally found it was true and traced him to Republic. Unfortunately for me, Robert and Marie had no children so no long lost cousins to be found. My grandfather and father also owned an Eilenberger's Bakery in Palestine, Texas, at about the same time. It would be wonderful to have pictures of both bakeries. I would appreciate any help you could give me on where to find historical pictures of Republic. Thank you, Deta Eilenberger Rogillio

It shows in business since 1898, 903-729-2253. They may have pictures.

--I did find other OLD images in the alltheweb image database (use the above alltheweb, enter your query and then switch to images. The images are small and from the Palestine Bakery. It indicated they had a website with history pictures; but, the site isn't working or is down.

Thank you so much for your help. I must have made my request rather obtuse. I am an Eilenberger from the Palestine, Texas, bakery and have numerous family pictures of the bakery from 1898 to current. Robert Eilenberger from Republic, Washington, is a new find and, when the census indicated that he too was a baker, I hoped to find a picture of his bakery as well. I thought it would be wonderful to put a picture of Robert's bakery with those I already have of our family bakery in Palestine.
