Surnames: Uthe, Lawson
According to the Ferry County site, the following people are mentioned in Volume 1, Reflections of the Kettle River Region:
Andy Lawson, p.26
A.J. Lawson, p.37
W.E. Uthe, p.37

W.E. Uthe was my great-grandfather's brother. Andrew Lawson was married to a niece of W.E. Uthe.

Could someone please give me a brief summary of the information on p.26 and p.37? Thank you for your help.

Karen

WARMOUTH, Christopher Columbus:
....."The place was later sold to Vance VanWoert (a Customs Officer at Ferry) during the years 1950 - 60. It is now owned and occupied by Ralph and Anne Westlake."

My Dad worked at the Ferry Customs Office during the 1940's. There are VanWoerts in the Tonasket area and some buried in the Oroville Cemetery.

Vance Van Woert attended the basketball game in Oroville Friday evening.

On the Front Page is an article about the game and Tonasket defeated Oroville 23 - 15.

Thank You for the look-up. It wasnt quite what I'd hoped for, and I have been in touch recently with a VanWoert from the Tonkaset area! I am researching Minerva (VanVorst) Vanwoert. I believe Vance was her grandson. - Mel
