Seeking any information on Ira WASHBURN, b. N.Y. abt 1837, went to California Goldrush, late 1840's to early 1850's,with his parents; Liba & Sarah Washburn, listed on their census for Sutter co. Calif. 1860, served in the California Calvary during the Civil War, discharged the presidio San Francisco 1866.

He is mentioned in a letter of the late 1860's from his father Liba WASHBURN, to his daughter, and Ira's sister: Nettie "Ellen" (Washburn) ALLISON. Some where in the past I saw a posting for Ira WASHBURN, in Douglas co. Washington.
Ira's family left Nevada & Calif. for Washington Territory, arriving Fort Spokane, at the confluence of the Spokane & Columbia rivers, in 1882, this family settled a ranch in the Fruitland Valley of Stevens county. What happened to Ira WASHBURN? his brother Albert also moved to Stevens co. all of the this family is buried in Stevens co. Washington, Where is Ira WASHBURN? Did he leave a family in Washington state or else where? Any information on this individual would be greatly appreciated.
