His mother was Anne Marie Einersdatter Kokkin and his father was Ole Pedersen Bentsrud. One source lists the father as Ole Pedersen Bokken. Einar O. Kokkin (another brother of Peter, Svend and Marius) was in the U.S. for 3 or 4 years and returned to Norway
