I am looking for a couple who were both buried in the Dayton cemetery:

Robert A. McDowell
b. Jun 6 1866
d. Dec 25 1936

and his wife...

Emma Jane McDowell
b. April 1877
d. May 9 1953

I would love some headstone photos, but what I desperately need are Robert A. McDowell's burial records/death records and his obituary. I can NOT find his father's name anywhere because he ran away from home when he was 13 years old after his father died in a different state, but not sure where. I'm really, really hoping that I can get these records as they may hold information I don't have yet! Emma's obituary or death records would be nice also.

First try to obtain the obit, it might identify burial location:

The Washington State Library has a free research service, the ask-a-librarian program, where they will look for information in the archives, in this case the newspaper microfilm for an event, such as an obituary.
