Kennedy Wagon Train of 1862 - Paul Family

As some may know, Elizabeth Paul, wife of Thomas Paul died in childbirth on the trek west with the Kennedy Wagon Train of 1862.

She was buried on the Lander Cut- off Trail under a pine tree in the Wyoming Range Mountains. A beautiful tribute to her is in the form of a bronze plaque placed by OCTA (Oregon California Trails Assoiation) and family members. There is also a wooden sign giving her date of death and age.

I took the 5 day wagon train trip with Wagons Across Wyoming and visited her gravesite.
