at Washington Digital archives (
www.digitalarchives.wa.gov) there is a marriage record for Keith D Fahrney and Roberta M Thompson. They were married in 1953 and he died in 1956 with no mention of her in his death record. Perhaps they divorced, she died or may have annulled the marriage - she was VERY VERY young:
Marriage Certificate

Keith D Fahrney of Clark, Washington
Roberta M Thompson of Multnomah, Oregon
Witnesses: Mrs. Wm Thompson, Eliza R Thompson
Groom: Keith D Fahrney, b. 12/2/1924
Bride: Roberta Thompson, b.11/23/1939
(note the year of her birth is written over, crossed out and has 1939 written underneath - this would make her just 13 1/2 when she married. One would assume that the Thompsons who witnessed were related, possibly her mother).
Here is POSSIBLY a second marriage for Roberta
