As "Jmashmun" indicated, the Riverview listing doesn't show the two named person's; but, that means : They aren't buried here. They aren't on the listing for whatever reason and are buried there. Same for the Fraternal Cemetery, also in Wenatchee. The problem with cemetery transcriptions: The transcriber "missed" the grave. The grave itself is unmarked, the stone is broken, missing or unreadible. Most cemeteries in the US are NOT transcribed.

The Washington Death Certificate Index:
Ella Frances Walker died 25 Feb 1946 in Wenatchee, Chelan County, age 77 years 4 days, married to John W. Parents were John R. Kemper and Martha J. Dunlap.
John William Walker died 12 Sep 1943 in Wenatchee, age 81 years 11 months and 2 days. Married to Ella F, parents were James F. Walker and Jeminna Jane Hoover

I'd suggest contacting a competent researcher in Wenatchee... It appears JMashmun is Joanna, she is at the Chelan County GenWeb site. If the they can't help, then your people may have been buried elsewhere.

If you don't have their obituaries, I'd suggest trying to obtain them. Sometimes they identify where the burial is to take place. Sometimes a Death Certificate has the burial location.

To obtain an obit, if the Chelan County GenWeb can't help:
The Washington State Library has a free research service, the ask-a-librarian program, where they will look for information in the archives, in this case the newspaper microfilm for an event, such as an obituary. They will look up to an hour and send you the results. Contact them at: http://www.secstate.wa.gov/library/ask.aspx . I have the Chelan cemetery book, and John and Ella Walker aren't listed in either Riverview or Fraternal cemetery. They aren't listed in any cemetery on the wags-web site. The Washington Death Index says John Walker d. in Wenatchee. Sorry I can't be of more help.

My son-in-law is Thomas Lyle Anderson son of Larry Anderson and grandson of Melvin (Dutch) Anderson. I have done research for family and friends because I love genealogy. Tom is a fine man and a very good person that I am proud to know. His parents are super nice too.
I wrote to the Wash. Archives but little info came back. They said David Anderson's rock quarry accident where he fell in a ditch was in the newspaper but they gave me no newspaper name. They had found several census, cemeteries and births but no names, cities, states or years.
I did find David's family in the 1920 Chelan WA Census. It listed David and his first two children as born in Ireland. His wife Alice Moulton Anderson as born in MA. The last two children Frederick Raymond and Melvin as born in WA. His mother-in-law Mary Moulton born in Canada age 65.
I have always assumed that David came in on the East Coast probably Boston and quickly headed West. But could it be the other way around. Could David have come in on the West Coast and Alice Moulton and family were already living there? Because if he came in on the East Coast, married Alice Moulton he would have to hit the ground running to the West Coast. Because the children's age being so close it would have rushed plan to go from East to West in that amount of time.
If I come across anything I will let you know. Please if you could share anything with me I would be thankful because the Anderson name is hard to research.

Thank you,
Pam
TN

Since you've posted very little, let me offer some advice for the future. It seems you have a lot of information on this family. When you post, post information on what specific information you desire, rather than a "any information". This causes a LOT of research by volunteers, and only to find what you may already have located.

For any Washington State obituaries:
The Washington State Library has a free research service, the ask-a-librarian program, where they will look for information in the archives, in this case the newspaper microfilm for an event, such as an obituary. They will look up to an hour and send you the results.
Depending on the amount of requests, it could take up to a couple of weeks.
I looked for other posting you had made on this person, but this appears to be your first, at least under this name. When you post, it is VERY important to provide as much information as you know about the person you seek. A date of birth is EXTREMELY helpful.

In this case, I looked for this person in various databases. I did find him in the 1910 census as identified. It showed he was 25 (1884/1885, if correct. Census enumerations are often wrong).

The 1920 Census for Panama, Lancaster Co, Nebraska
Henry J. Fischer, age 34, immigrated 1900 from Holland, farmer
Kate, 31, born in Nebraska
Gladys C, daughter, age 4 11/12, NE
--But, there is NO PROOF this is the correct person. The search criteria matches in several areas. This person wasn't found in the 1900 census; but, he could have been using a different name. You may have already researched this name.
The 1930 census for Panama, Lancaster Co, NE
Henry J Fischer, age 44, born Holland, immigrated in 1900, farmer, married age 27
Kathrine, 41, married age 25.
Gladys K, 14
Donald H, 7
Norma J, 6
Helen V, 1 1/12

The 1930 census for Panama, Lancaster Co, NE
Henry J Fischer, age 44, born Holland, immigrated in 1900, farmer, married age 27
Kathrine, 41, married age 25.
Gladys K, 14
Donald H, 7
Norma J, 6
Helen V, 1 1/12
---A Donald H. Fischer, born 11 June 1922, died 26 Feb 1997, last residence in Burwell, Garfield County, Nebraska.
---Burwell is a small community of 1,130 in 2000.
---If you desire to look for this family. There is a volunteer in Garfield Co that "might" be able to help:
http://www.raogk.org/nebraska2.htm

Now, as to the person you seek. What additional information do you have? Do you know the name he had/used in the Netherlands? The name Henry Fischer might be Angelicanized/Americanized name. Do you know his date of birth, siblings, parents, other family? ANY additional information help.

Ron Bestrom
Thanks for replying, I should have posted an update, I determined that this Mary Lawrence was not the correct person.
I am still looking for a date and place of death for Laura Bywater. John Bywater died 15 July 1909 on Vashon Island and in 1910 Laura, age 67 was living on Vashon, King County with her daughter Edith Sloan, 30 and Joseph Sloan, 32. By 1920 Edith was back in Wenatchee without Laura and I didn't find her on the census anywhere. Someone looked on the Washington Death Index and found no record for Laura. Laura Kendall Bywater was born about 1842 in Quincy, Illinois. Any suggestions welcome, Jonee

I am still interested in this Clifford Wilkins, will have to try harder. Thanks

Dear Mr. Bestrom,

Thank you very, very much for the great research and information. It is of great help to us. The information you gleaned is indeed about the right Henry J. Fischer, for one of his children, Gladys K., was my wife's mother.

Also, please forgive me for not including the date of his birth, 1885. Indeed, no excuse, for I know well that the more information one has, the better research one can perform. I simply fouled up.

As to why no record of Mr. Fischer in the 1900 Federal Census, perhaps it could be a matter of timing? Depending upon when the census was taken, Mr. Fischer may not have been in the United States yet.

I have searched many ship registers, but as of yet have not been able to locate him...perhaps because we do not know the port in the U.S. where he landed.

However, I have contacted the U.S. Department of Immigration and Naturalization and asked them to do a search for his records. Hopefully, they will be able to find some.

Again, I thank you very, very much for your time, great research and help.

Roy Carr, Jr.

Judy,
Yes, the man I am helping has done that and other things to find his birth parents. He was given info that was not traceable through genealogy sites and told that until his mother passed (father passed many years ago), that they couldn't help him. I found his birth announcement in the Wenatchee paper where it listed his parents as Mr. and Mrs. George Anderson. George Anderson is such a common name that it is hard to pin down much of anything solid. I have been on their website with no solid results. I will go again and re-look the info.
If you're interested in finding John Schopf, look at the 1910 Read, Clayton Co., IA Census. There is a John Schapp living with the Stoops family. He was born abt. 1846, Germany and widowed and immigrated in 1870. Since he was 64 at the time, he probably died in this area.

You are VERY lucky you knew about Dorathea's multiple marriages because I sure couldn't figure it out from the Censuses. Best of luck in your research!

They aren't in the local phone directory. Contact the Wenatchee Area Genealogy Society @ wags-web.org. They charge $10/hr for research and they have many valuable resources. However, they will have to know what exactly you're looking for. Also they'll need to know the names and birth dates and locations. If you don't know that, they can check the Polk Directories and reply with information on any and all Lukers who lived in Chelan County from about 1905 to couple years ago. Good Luck!

Well . . . Grays Harbor is a county not a city in Chelan County. Better to repost that request to that County list. However, check internet.org first. Then contact the Cemetery. They frequently have information about people buried there. If they don't, ask them which funeral home was in charge of the burial. Funeral homes have files on the deceased which list all immediate relatives, what was paid for funeral, etc. If you want more information on Clifford, find the contact info for the Grays Harbor Genealogy Soc. You probably can find them in Rootsweb.

Regarding Robert Wilkins you don't say where and when he died. Better to repost with that info on the correct county page.

We need to know where and when Mary Janes Wilkins-Lamb was born. Was her maiden name Wilkins or Wilkins-Lamb?

I have not posted very much and am sorry if I was so vague. There is a small newspaper called Wenatchee World that seems to have obituaries, but the online archives only goes back to 1992. Using the webite barbara provided these seem to be the family
http://www.wags-web.org/obits/c.html
CHAPMAN, Clay M 051 1960 Wenatchee Daily World, Wenatchee, WA
CHAPMAN, Georgia 100 1956 Wenatchee Daily World, Wenatchee, WA
CHAPMAN, Charles H 056 1938 Wenatchee Daily World, Wenatchee, Chelan Co., WA
CHAPMAN,Wayne D-50 050 1987 Wenatchee World, Wenatchee, WA
CHAPMAN,Marcus-37 037 1976 Wenatchee World, Wenatchee, WA
I have found the obituaries after 1992 in the archives of the Wentatchee world. Which include:
CHAPMAN, Marguerite E Adkins 062 1996 Wenatchee World, Wenatchee, Chelan Co., WA
CHAPMAN, Frank S. 256 2000 Wenatchee World, Wenatchee, Chalan Co., WA
CHAPMAN, Wayne Marcus 042 2000 Wenatchee World, Wenatchee, Chalan Co., WA
Since my original post, I have found a living descendent of Frank S Chapman who has provided information about some of the marriages and children of these chapmans. I know little about Georgia Belle Chapman (saw her death cert stating her father was Frank A Chapman) and this living descendent did not know her as family. also was told that Clay was injured by a kick to the head by a horse which caused him some impairment. was told that Marcus had son Wayne who was the fire chief in Wenatchee.
The parents Frank a and Eva alford chapman (d.1916 and 1909) in Odessa WA. I found that Frank remarried after Eva died and when he died shortly after, the family split up. I found that a cluster of Frank's and Eva's children lived in Chelan until they died. Elsie Chapman Cordick abandonded her children and they are found in the 1930 census in orphanages. I have also found since my orignal posting on the Wenatchee world site an article about Frank S chapman when he turned 90
http://wenatcheeworld.com/article/19930325/NEWS/303250322
I thank everyone for giving me additional information and places to continue my search.
