Does anyone have any info on David Anderson (born abt. 1884 in Ireland) and married Alice Moulton (born abt. 1888 in Boston MA.) David was said to have been killed working in a rock quarry around Chelan or Baring WA but I don't have his death date. Also does anyone have access to the 1930 Chelan Co. WA census? David or Alice Anderson could be in there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
P.J.

Thank you so much for your time. I had their ages in the 1920 Chelan census but nothing else like districts or where they were born. Now I can look elsewhere for them. Some of their younger children settled in Linn OR. You have been a big help; again thank you.

Hello,

I am quite certain that David Anderson was my great-grandfather. My father was born in Lebanon Oregon (Linn County) in 1937 son of Melvin Anderson (born 1914 King County Wa). Melvin (my grandfather) unfortunately died of a heart attack (as did his brother Ray a year later) in 1946. From what we know, David was born in Newry, Northern Ireland, married and had 2 children. His first wife passed away in Ireland before he moved to the United States. Are you related to David?

My son-in-law is Thomas Lyle Anderson son of Larry Anderson and grandson of Melvin (Dutch) Anderson. I have done research for family and friends because I love genealogy. Tom is a fine man and a very good person that I am proud to know. His parents are super nice too.
I wrote to the Wash. Archives but little info came back. They said David Anderson's rock quarry accident where he fell in a ditch was in the newspaper but they gave me no newspaper name. They had found several census, cemeteries and births but no names, cities, states or years.
I did find David's family in the 1920 Chelan WA Census. It listed David and his first two children as born in Ireland. His wife Alice Moulton Anderson as born in MA. The last two children Frederick Raymond and Melvin as born in WA. His mother-in-law Mary Moulton born in Canada age 65.
I have always assumed that David came in on the East Coast probably Boston and quickly headed West. But could it be the other way around. Could David have come in on the West Coast and Alice Moulton and family were already living there? Because if he came in on the East Coast, married Alice Moulton he would have to hit the ground running to the West Coast. Because the children's age being so close it would have rushed plan to go from East to West in that amount of time.
If I come across anything I will let you know. Please if you could share anything with me I would be thankful because the Anderson name is hard to research.

Thank you,
Pam

Tom is my cousin! My father (Richard Anderson) was Tom's Dad (Larry) older brother. I think we are both in the same boat trying to untangle the mystery of my great-grandfather. I have been super busy with work lately, but when time permits, I want to do some more research. Especially since I live in Washington and the research might be a little easier for a local!
