I am researching my wifes family and have only recently traced it back to Adams CO, Wa, Ritzville to be more specific. I know my wifes grandmas grandparents built and owned the 1st motel there, then they moved outside of Ritzville and apparently donated land that the German Methodist Church was built upon. Can anyone assist in helping fill any and all voids for any of the three family names above? Thank you!

You seem very knowledgeable with some of the families in Ritzville. I have been searching for ever, with not much luck for a family who used to live there and many are buried in the cemetery just outside of town but I'd like to contact a living person. Maybe you can direct me. The family name is LEMMAN. There were two brothers, Edgar and Eugene LEMMAN (at the Ritzville Cemetery they had the names spelled Lemmon but I think it has been corrected.) They are relatives of mine but I have not found how to contact any living Lemman's who might have moved away but come back to the family plott or maybe just to visit old friends. Is this something you might be able to help me with?

I found two family bibles with your names in them. I am not part of this genealogy but If you'd like to have the bibles after reading below let me know and I'll send them to who ever would like them. I just make it a habit to look in old bibles for names. I bought these two in Joseph, Oregon.

the second bible has a newspaper clipping in it from 1938 about Herbert D. Miller, Frances geroldine husband i believe
lots of info there. herbert d. miller grew up in pullman graduated from pullman high ans wsu 38. he went to work for and followed a career with the u.s. forest service beginning in 1940 in central oregon. he married Frances jones of john day, oregon. they have a son, Gregg, a 1961 grad. He is an engineer for boeing co. in seattle. miller retired 12/21/74 with 35 years with the USFS. He was Ranger at the JOesph District of the Walloa-Whitman national Froest. His father Cort Miller, gradutted from WSU in 1908 as did his sister and brother. A retirement was held for him on Dec 28th at the elks lodge in enterprise, ore. ect, ect, ect...

then it has these dates.
