Looking for information on the James Duff and Margaret Mason family of the Buena Vista area. One of their daughters, Bessie, married Harry Ingram, son of Thomas Ingram and Clara Bailey.

Buena Vista Police - Henkle Family

I know this is an unusual request, but my great
grandfather - Charles David Henkle who was also
BV's first fire chief - was an early member of the
police force there and was wounded on duty by a
gunshot sometime in the first couple of decades of
the 20th century, perhaps even the 1890s. The
story I've heard is that he was accompanying some
Internal Revenue agents on a hunt for some
moonshine stills in the mountains when they were
fired upon. I wondered if there is anyone in who knows any details of such past woundings of officers. If you have any
information, I would certainly appreciate hearing
from you.

Can anyone do a lookup at the Green Hill cemetery in Buena Vista, Rockbridge County area, VA for Lorenzo Paris Thompson and wife Mary Jane? All I know is that they died in the 1920's and lived in the city. They were originally from Tazewell County area.
