I know there are a lot of Yager family resources and links online and I have looked at alot of them, but I have yet to find one that lists the same dates and names of people listed in my tree. I find too many of them with the same name and can't find the family that moved from Va to Ky to IN with all the right data so I don't know which one is mine. These Yager's are frustrating. There are just way, way too many of them and they have too many of the same name. lol

Please help me.

I have a Joseph R. Yager, born in KY about 1827 who marries a Sally Ann Seifer in Shelby County, Indiana in 1848. The census lists his parentage as father -born in Va and mother -born in KY. On familysearch I found a Joseph Yager with a father named James and 2 brothers, no mother listed.

I have found a James Yager, born 1795 in Madison Co., Va in the 1850 census in Shelby County. Wife is Nancy and looks like she is born in KY. I think this is the right family but now I am having trouble getting past James.

How do I connect James Yager to the rest of the Yager's living in Madison Co., Va? I've looked at a lot of pages and there are too many James' for me to know for sure which one is mine.

Anyone got any good sites or good info?
