Laura, I am a firect decendant of Matthais House. Yes he was born 8/8/1739 in Germany and died 10/20/1829. He is buried in the House Family Graveyard Slate Mills, Madison Co, Va. !st marriage was to Maria Margaretha Jaeckler, then Margaret Mitchell. He had 14 children. My bloodline is as follows:1. Guy Filmore b. 1/18/1896 d. 5/21/1961 Danville, Pa(buried in Arlington Cemetery) married Elfrieda Viola Dorothea Dueker had 4 children 7.
