A: In the Charles Parish reference, p.79 are the following birth records of these children of John & Mary Dewberry of Elizabeth City: 1. unnamed child baptised Dec 1 1751 (perhaps unnamed due to child being born dead?). 2. Sarah b. Oct 15, bap. Nov 13 1751 (obviously some sort of problem here in this record compared to #1; perhaps the unnamed child is a complete error and should be simply disregarded?). 3.Samuel b. Jan. 5, bap. Feb 3 1754. 4. John b.Feb 20 bap. March 21 1756. 5. William b.Oct 2, bap. Oct 30, 1759. 6. Mary b. March 19, bap. April 25 1762. 7. Elizabeth, b. Sept 13, bap. Oct 28 1764. 8. Giles b.Feb 20 1770. 9. Judith b. Sept 11 bap. Oct 11 1772. (Note, I rearranged the order shown in the book to agree with the birth dates progression.)
B. In the Warwick reference are the following: 1. p.349 6 Jun 1751 Court of Warwick County Samuel Dewberry ordered to be an appraiser of estate of Mary Spiers dec'd. 2. p.384 1 March 1753 Court of Warwick Co subpoena issued for Judith Dewberry to give deposition 25 March 1753 in case in Chancery of John Pattason, James Pattason, Argill Blaston & Mary his wife vs. Robert Lennis. 3. p.388 1 Mar 1753 etc "Upon petition of Miles Cary & Company against John Dewbre for a Debt due by Penal Note ... to recover two Pounds ten Shillings & three Pence half Penny. 4. p.520 May 1st 1760 Court for Warwick Co ordered John Dewbree to appraise estate of Sarah McKentosh dec'd. 5. p.514 Sept 6th 1759 Court of Warwick Co ordered that the Hands of Samuel Dewbry be added to the Precinct of the Main Road from the Church Bridge to Stoney Run and the Courthouse Road.
C. Wills of Elizabeth City County reference: there are several entries for Dewberry, Dewbre, etc. I'll make a separate reply for this.
D. Early VA Immigrants reference: No Dewberry or etc.
