There is only one documented wife for Doswell. His wife is named on the 1792 Wythe Co. VA deed records as Ann. However, I do believe that he was most likely married before Ann taking into consideration of the age range of his proposed issue.
I began a documented hunt for Catherine Denton. What the research came out with is that either the Catherine Dentons were too young or too old or that they never lived in the same place or time period as Doswell. Therefore, we have another computer person who generated another Doswell Rogers myth. I have gotten to the point that if they do not have documentation to send me for their statements, then I do not accept their heresay. You will notice that the dates you have for Catherine Denton make no sense. If she was born in 1762 and died in 1771, then she only lived NINE YEARS.
I have never completed reading the Goochland Co. VA courthouse books. However, I have read far enough in them to know that Catherine (Doswell) Rogers was still alive into the 1750 and not dead in 1743. In fact, she testified in a lawsuit and was paid in tobacco which was the money of the day.
