Dauswell CHARLES Rogers is my great-great grandfather. He descends from Doswell Rogers b. 17326 in York Co. VA who was HIS great-great grandfather. The name Charles is seldom used in this family. I have no idea from whence it came.

Doswell b. 1736 had a son William (NO MIDDLE NAME) Rogers who was born in 1763 in Halifax Co. VA. Some novice gave him the name William Perry Rogers without any reason. ALL of the doucments that I have collected over 45+ years only have him listed as William Rogers. However, several generations after William Rogers died someone named their son William Perry Rogers. They are NOT the same person.

DNA tests last year confirmed that Adduston Rogers married Catheine DOSWELL.

No one has a Catherine Denton anywhere in their documents. That was a MYTH created by Leonard Turnbull who apparently makes a habit of trying to confuse our Rogers family for some unknown reason. Several Rogers family members as well as other non-related Rogers members have complained about this problem.

Turnbull found an Adenstone Rogers in 1756 in NC in a deed who was apparently married to a Catherine Denston and he died sometime in NC. Turnbull has been trying to change them into our Adduston Rogers born and died in VA and Catherine DOSWELL born and died in VA. It won't work because our Adduston died in 1747 in Goochland Co. VA and can't have all of the issue Turnbull keeps giving him AFTER 1747.
