GEORGE HARRISON WILL
In the name of God amen, I George Harrison of the County of Westmoreland being sick and weak of body but of sound and perfect memory praised be almighty God doe make this my last will and testament in manner and form following. Imprimis: I bequeath my soul to you my heavenly father hoping by the merits of my beloved Savior to receive it again at the day of my resurrection. Imprimis: I give all my land to my sons Thomas, George, John, William, James and Peter and Willoughby Harrison to them and their heirs for ever to be equally divided between them my sons George and John to have their parts where they now live and my son Willoughby to have his share where my now dwelling plantation is further my will is that in case any of my sons die without issue that their parts be equally divided betwist the rest and further my will is that in case any of my sons is minded to sell his part he nor none of them shall sell it to no other person but to his brothers or brother who shall be willing to buy it Imprimis: as for what worldly estate God hath given me I give and bequeath as followeth as whereas my sons George and John have had a bed and pewter. I give and my will is that each of the rest of my sons have so much and what remaineth to be equally divided betwixt them further my will is that my son Thomas shall have a flocks bed and my son Peter a flock bed and my will is that my sons William, James and Willoughby have each of them a feather bed and furniture and my will is that my son Willoughby shall have the bed that I now lie upon with the green hangings and further my will is that every of my sons have what furniture belonging to the beds and further that whereas my sons George and Peter have ____ beds. I give them all of my Gees to be divided between them Imprimis: for what cattle and sheep I have, my will is that they be equally divided among all my sons and my will is for what horses or mares there is that they be equally divided and as for what household stuff to be equally divided among them my sons and as for what hogs I have my will is that they shall be equally divided among them and further as for what new goods is in my chest and trunk my will is that they be equally divided between my sons William, James and Willoughby and for what wearing clothes I have I give to my son Thomas and further my will is that all my son after my death shall all be free to work for themselves. Imprimis: I comitt my body to the earth to be decently buried by my sons George and John Harrison who I make execution of this last will and testament. I revoking and annulling all former Wills and testaments by me made. As witness my hand and seale this second day of October Anno Dme 1713.

Westmoreland: At a court held for the said county the 25th day of November 1713. The last will and testament of George Harrison dec’d was presented into court by his son George who made oath thereto and being proved by the oaths of two of the witnesses thereto is admitted to record. And upon his motion certificate is granted him for obtaining a probate thereof in due form.
