Would anyone know if there are any online city directories for Richmond, Va. or online newspaper archives? I am trying to find out how long my uncle lived there and if one or two of his sons was born there before moving to Illinois sometime before 1958?

Go online "The Library of Congress" Website. Look for the Newspaper link and query under the state, Virginia. You will find newspapers for Richmond Times and Richmond Times Dispatch. Good luck in your research. Dinah

Just wanted to mention that you have posted this on the Richmond County message board, not the message board for the City of Richmond. Richmond County is about an hour from the City of Richmond and is not adjacent to it. You may already know this.

You may get better information about the City of Richmond on that message board, though the previous post gave you good information.
