Was searching Pittsylvania tonight and saw the names which caught my eye. Your post was several years ago and I'm sure you probably found the name that you seek. I'm working on the family history of a friend who descends from James Doss, Sr. Your post mentioned Frances Nix. Her father was Edward Nix. There is a copy of his will in the book: Abstracts of Wills South Carolina.
