Sue Jackson Hardy, 82, of Mount Airy, N.C., died Sunday, October 25, 2009, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, N.C.

She was born June 27, 1927 in Surry County, N.C., and was a daughter of the late Randall Hobart and Lena Matthews Jackson.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Faye Jackson Christian; and a brother, Randall Matthew Jackson.

She retired from the North Carolina school system and was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Mount Airy.

Surviving are one daughter, Sarah Scott of Claudville; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Steve Lindsley officiating. Burial was in the Westfield Baptist Church cemetery.

Arrangements were by Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.
