Junie Durham Miles, 79, of 945 Old Well Road, Spencer, died Thursday, June 25, 2009, at her home.

She was born in Patrick County on Dec. 24, 1929, to William Jesse and Lilly Mae Hancock Durham.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Carl Miles in April of this year, and two brothers, George Durham and Richard Cobbler.

She was employed by Fagg’s Drug Store in Martinsville for many years and was a member of Old Well Christian Church.

Surviving are two sisters, Gaynell Amos of Sandy Ridge, N.C., and Josephine Duncan of Martinsville; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. today at Old Well Christian Church. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
