I've recently found out that my paternal 3rd great grandfather was adopted by his step-father. He took on the step-father's last name of Taylor. I've grown up thinking my lineage was the Taylors but it is actually the Mutlows.

I am looking for info regarding the Mutlows in Virginia. I believe they were in New Kent County. William's father was Zachariah Mutlow. I have Zachariah's father being William Mutlow who was born in 1740 in Virginia. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
