This Lewis Pugh was born in Nelson Co, VA (though some say Orange Co, NC) and married Susan McDaniel (though, again, some people say her last name was Waugh). Lewis was born 1799 and died after 1870, while Susan was born 1802 and died before 1870. This Lewis' parents were John Pugh and supposedly Mamie Andrews, who was a Native American. Their daughter, Virginia Ann Pugh, married George Riley Anderson, and they both died in Webster Co, WV.
