Ct. records 1787 to 1789 signed by W. Baskerville. Deposition 20 July 1788 by JOHN BRODIE that Cox, a Private, in Col. Robert Munford's Regt. of Militia, was wounded in the Action of Guilford and had lost a leg. Certificate authorizing pension approved by the Executive 20 July 1788."
2. "page 4 BABER (Babor), William File 14: Mecklenburg Co. Ct records 1787 to 1789, signed by W, Baskerville. Deposition Dec 1787 that Baber was a militia soldier (Pvt.)..in 1781 under Col. Lewis Burwell, who commanded a Regt. in Gloucester during the seige of York...was taken blind...no property except two small Negroes. Ct order July 1788 that DR. LODOWICK BRODIE examine the wounds of Bartley c Cox and William Babor...Request from Council Chambers 20 Aug. 1788 that Col. Meriweather " show papers...to Genl. Wood, Dr. McClure and Mr. Goode..."
