I don't have too much on Fred William Jenkins but I do have the obit for Ethel Mae Howell. I am tied in to the family through their son, WIlliam Garfield Jenkins (who married Florence Atkins). Here it is:
Ethel Mae Howell Jenkins, of Culpeper, passed away on Jan. 30, 2004. Mrs. Jenkins was born in Rappahannock County on May 8, 1920 to the late Allie E. Howell and Elsie Wince Howell. She is preceded in death by her husband, Freddie William Jenkins, one son, William Ralph Jenkins, and one brother, Russell A. Howell. Mrs. Jenkins was a member of the Hopewell United Methodist Church, Lignum, Va. Survivors include four daughters, Mary Anne Kline of Warfordsburg, Penn., Marjorie M. Marston of Luary, Va., Bonnie J. Behrendt of Culpeper and Deborah C. Saunders of Manassas, Va.; seven sons, William Garfield Jenkins, Wayne E. Jenkins, Lindsay W. Jenkins and Sidney A. Jenkins all of Culpeper, Freddie M. Jenkins and Russell A. Jenkins of Luary, Va. and Douglas C. Jenkins of Fairfax, Va.; three brothers, Ranville Howell and Floyd A. Howell of Vinton, Va. and James A. Howell of Luary, Va.; also fifteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Sunday, Feb. 1 at 3 p.m. in Beahm’s Chapel Cemetery in Luary, Va. with the Rev. Lois Phemister presiding. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 1 p.m. Sunday at the Clore-English Funeral Home. Her grandsons, William Jenkins, Brian Jenkins, Chris Jenkins, David Jenkins, Rodney Jenkins and Michael Jenkins will serve as pallbearers. The Clore-English Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
