The Mirror newspaper Friday, 28 November 1913 Vol. VII, No. 20
Death of Zach GENUS last week marked the passing of the few old time darkeys in Leesburg. Twenty two years ago Uncle Zach became the servant of Col. Lige WHITE, of Leesburg, and after the Col.'s death he remained an ever faithful serving man for Mrs. WHITE. ... On Sunday the 16th Zach drove his "Old Massa's widow" to the little Valley Church. Returning, he attended to the horses, fed them, replenished the first. His work done, Zach laid down and died.
