Rosalie's birth name was Oris Rosalie Lucas. She was the daughter of Lawrence Clinton Lucas and Lillie Blanche King.
She married George Franklin Hartinger, born September 8, 1917 at Williamsport, Pickaway Co., OHIO.

Rosalie was a well-known genealogist and co-author of "A Cramer-King History," by O. L. Flaningam, R. L. Hartinger and M. C. Emanuel.
She contributed data and articles for many publications, such as "The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution Magazine," "Ohio Records and Pioneer Families," "Ohio - Gateway to the West," and various historical society publications, such as "Laurel Messinger" (Sumerset Co., PA).
She was honored by the Somerset County Historical Society with a lifetime membership for her years of contributions. She was a member of the NSDAR.

Rosalie and George had two daughters: Connie Louise Hartinger Harlan and Donna Lynn Hartinger who died in infancy.
