Surnames: Frantz, Spunaugle, Ruse, Shoemaker, Underwood
Johann Nicholas Frantz (France) came to Loudoun from Frederick County MD and Bucks County PA in the 1770+ era. He moved on to Ohio, where he died in 1806. His will mentions several daughters remaining in Loudoun County VA (Information from Posting by Allen Tomlinson on the Spunaugle site):

"I believe that your Nicholas Frantz became Nicholas France of Jefferson Co. Ohio. I have a copy of his will wherein his wife Margarett (Anna Margarett ?) is a principal heir. He also leaves bequests to his son Peter France ( John Peter ?) b.1756 and Elizabeth (Same) France Tumbleston b.1758 as well as additional children : Barberey France Spunaugle, Eliza France Ruse ( Rufe ?),Mary France Shomaker and Margaret France Underwood. Nicholas died in 1806 in Steubenville, Ohio. <snip>

Any identification of these daughters and their husbands would be welcome, as well as such facts as where and when they were married, should they be in your family.

Barbary Spunaugle d.1824 is buried with her husband, George Spunaugle d.1820, in Christ Church Cemetery, Arlington/Alexandria county VA. (I think the cemetery is on the county line?)

Thank you.
